Nuon Vattenfall – media and campaigning

In the autumn of 2014, N.V. Nuon Energy, part of the Swedish energy giant Vattenfall, launched a new initiative, the Nuon Club Competition, to help sports associations achieve permanent reduction of their energy bills through a sponsorship formula.
The content-driven free publicity campaign, applying a classical approach and a local focus, ended in a resounding success: in just six weeks’ time, we generated hundreds of messages in the press as well as online about the Nuon Club Competition.

- 353 messages on news websites
- over 1,300 messages on social media
In this manner, we reached over 6 million Dutch customers while at the same time increasing brand preference and loyalty to the Nuon Vattenfall brand.
Amsterdam ArenA – online impact
Multimedia content must be rock solid – and generate high conversion rates, obviously. This means that to create a powerful impact for the brand, the right message must be delivered at the right time and through the right channel.
Amsterdam ArenA, home to the famous football club Ajax, is the largest stadium in the Netherlands. Their goal is to be net climate neutral by 2015. Under the motto of ‘Amsterdam ArenA. Naturally Sustainable’, Amsterdam ArenA works hard in the pursuit of this ambitious goal.
2014 was the third consecutive year that we were responsible for the overall production of the sustainability report for stakeholders. In this digital production, we show how the ArenA converts sustainability ambitions into concrete results.
In addition, we regularly take care of the press and media coverage around various sustainability projects. For instance, Amsterdam ArenA has installed a total of approximately 7,000 m2 of solar panels on the stadium rooftop – an area roughly the size of a football pitch. Our media lobby on the subject resulted in numerous publications in Dutch as well as international media. Particularly the online impact reached an impressive level. This generated exposure for Amsterdam ArenA as an attractive and sustainable example to other stadiums around the globe.
